ROFL.
1)Timeline has never mattered in this game!
2) Timeline has never mattered in this game!
3)There are fewer actual Squad Leaders than there are Entertainers. Now thats BAD
4) In the movies how many times do you see someone with a sword? Does not make sense in a timeline of blasters.
5) Timeline has never mattered in this game!
6)Even in Espisode 4 Obi-won was leading Leia, Luke, Han, and Chew on the Death Star.
7) Ever see someone 'root' someone during Star Wars movie combat?
8)How about poison them or give them a disease?
9) Timeline has never mattered in this game!
I would rather have good game mechanics than have a world bound by play limiting lore!

Rippley, you gave me an idea for another possible solution. Jedi can only go GCW/PvP for 30 mins once per day (or some similar timeframe).
Ok, just another idea. Lots of good ideas flying around this forum. Maybe the Devs will pick up some ideas of their own and keep this game alive. (one can hope)

You only have 100 Jedi on your server? We have a single Imp guild on ours thats getting close to that number. And why would you limit PvP to only 30 minutes? That is the funniest idea I've ever heard. Why can't it be Jedi vs Jedi non-Jedi vs non-Jedi?

You know, SOE will never set a limit on how many jedi there can be on a planet at the same time.
Reason: SOE Denying players to play their game is breaking their part of the EULA saying that SOE requires to bring a server up for the player to play on, and SOE will be responsible if this is not the case. Only Force majeure or regular/scheduled and limited downtimes are accepted.
Everything that hits a particular class of player this way will open a wormhole against SOE, which in the end will lead to SOE getting sued for breaking their part of the EULA. SOE have broken their part of it if they hampers or limits a players access to the game. Remember that if a player cant be on any planet, its the same as not being in the game!
So, this is old news, which will never happen. A jedi free server or anything like that will never ever happen too.

Limit GCW jedi per planet? Uh no.
That completly removes jedi from enjoying mass PVP, of which they have just as much the right to participate. Granted, full templates and knights umbalance it, but go play WoW if you don't want to see jedi period.

lol, so you say go play another game? Most everyone that isnt a Jedi doesnt like the current system. What if we all left? Im sure most of us think about it, maybe itll happen but we've invested so much time in this game, argh.

I thought of an idea to reduce the Jedi impact problem (other than the usual and fun hunting them to extinction). Limit the number of GCW-participating jedi on a planet at any given time.
It would work like this:
1.Two "GCW jedi" max per planet (could be 1-4 per planet, some low number).
2. If another wants to go to that planet or logs in at the planet, they are notified that theirGCW abilitywill beturned off until one of theGCWjedis logs out or leaves the planet.
3. There could be a queuefor those jedi whole are on planet waiting to be one of the GCW "two". When their turn comes up, they will be asked if they still want to turn on GCW or remain in the queue (to enable them to protect whatever they were doing at the time).
This may help solve the jedi problem in the GCW and still the the BH/jedi "war" intact. It also makes the jedi "rare", as intended and as portrayed in the movie series.
Ok, flame away.

Ok so you're saying give Jedi abilities they had in Episodes pre-GCW, like in episodes 1-3.. Well if you read the timeline for SWG, it's at a time where Jedi are almost exctinct and not leading armies.. All I'm saying is your reasoning makes no sense if you want to keep with the timeline of SWG.
In case you haven't noticed....the dev's left the time line in beta.
Rofl No they didnt. It was trashed period. And to say in beta.. Hello we are still in beta.
