well seeing as i dont do much ground combat, i'd have to say my lovely Black Krayt attack ship 
grab a gunner, coupled with some lovely blasty thingies, very very nice. Why do i use it? its sexy, simple.

Proton Carbine, Just got it today and it is sweet. Easy quest, too. I keep it and my Renegade on my toolbar. I only use the Carbine among friends or when I am sure no one will see it . In town I carry my Black Falcon just for "The Look," but lately I have been showing off my Quicktrigger Countermand and shooting punks outside the Mos Eisley cantina with it just to show off the "ray gun" look and weapon effect. Makes the rubes stare and point at me.

Well at all times I carry a DL44xt, a renegade, 3 different Krayt scatters (different damage and SAC), proton carbine and an elite carbine.
Kinetic damage seems to be order of the day atm, so mainly my scatters are used - I switch them depending on which SAC cost is most appropriate.

Advanced laser rifle ,
modded dps 485
pupped to 520 - 1100 dmg
modded spd 2.1
very little gets near me to do me any damage , headshot an snipershot , an if it does out comes........

modded spd 1.52 if they beat on me I LD with the 44 , game over .
lookin to get a proton rifle an some cyber sniper armz , oh happy days.

it's hard for me to have one weapon of choice. At any one time I usually have a good number of weapon in my inventory that all get play both in PvE and PvP. This includes:

I use a low sac high damage renegade pistol for my general pve, with a czerka dart carbine for the extra range when hunting critters, and a FWG5 with similar stats to my renegade for getting the vengence i swore when jedi got feign death nerfed all that time ago. I like that i can now be both a bounty hunter (my first ever elite profession) and a smuggler (my long term profession of choice) although after spending so much time ready the smuggler forums (which have degraded quite badly since the cu) reading the BH forums just feels like such a waste of time. I reckon maybe at a push 1 in 40 posts there are not idiot jedi/bhs arguing over xyz skill or weapon or tactic.

I rely on my Pre-CU DE-10 and FWG
I have found some hihger DPS weapons but they just don't seem to do that much more then those two.
I also waiting on Proton Rifle to be fixed but till then I use RL since it has no AoE and can hit from 65 meters!

Pre-CU republic blaster that was collecting dust on the wall in my house... glad I saved THAT one for my collection...
When style is called for (dueling), I pull out the DE10.
