I hear ya man... if it makes ya feel any better I've been doing nothing but these NPC missions in my limited playtime since pub21... bout 15-20 missions... no bosses for me yet either. Some of the elites have been pretty tough though... dunno if I can take one of the bosses w/o any healing other than stims/bliel
Im pretty lazy when it comes to this game. If it seems like work to me i stop doing it and find a new hobby. I got real into SW and space for about a month, then i ground out rifleman with my other toon and am doin these for now. I still get up to space enough tho.
I havent had any challenge from any marks yet, never been incapped or below 1/2 health. The 19k ones are pretty easy, the 8k health ones are like 5 shots.
Try a CL82 with the gold chevrons. heh. I was incapped within a minute, had to use health buff crystal, 3 synthsteaks, 1 full stim D, interspersed with basic medic bacta shots. Plus had help from a coople MoB's that he aggro'd.. Still took 10 minutes to take him down, and I still nearly died. hehe.

Talus is a Cool planet. I've been getting my missions mainly on Endor. But they were close to the starports which was great. Just looted an Illegal Core Booster. I am cheering

Hehe. Tonight I did 5-6 marks. The first mark was a gold chevron Boss mob that my template really isn't up to par with. He dropped a BH helmet armor schem and micro reactive plating. He was on Yavin IV btw. My second mark dropped ANOTHER Helmet Schem, he was regular, my third mark dropped reactive. etc. etc.
Besides the2 schematics it was all smuggler stuff. Friend of mine looted a power crystal "good" quality, he got that off a regular mark.
So besides Challenge I really don't see a difference in loot/payout for the boss mobs, they actually seem somewhat cost prohibitive in terms of food/stims necessary.

Ground on out to lvl 80 today and started the big missions. Got some nice <silver> elites i guess and then i got a big daddy.
...a double <<gold>> boss with about 32-35k ham and he wouldnt let go!!! Took forever to kill (3rd times a charm) and only dropped an illegal core. Guess im gonna have to invest in some better armor to handle these jokers lol.
Few nice AA and CA drops including a +9 Artisan Experimentation CA, 3 BH schematics and other stuff.

. but at least it was a fun fight. He dropped three items, so Im pretty sure loot hasnt been nerfed, And these boss marks are around!
