I've soloed all types of rancors (And even several at once) no problem with my Mcom/MBH. It's all in how you fight them really. Only NPCs I havent managed to solo so far are NS elders, and anything krayt over ado.

Not that I've put any serious effort into trying anyway. Tried once just for kicks on an ancient krayt. Did quite well for the first bit. Then it got in range and ate me. And the NS elder was just some random wild spawn that blew up my bike and propmtly proceeded to kick my ass

They can be solo'd as stated above, but I'm not seeing where they are worth the effort now... as compared to krayt and gorax, their loots aren't really in high demand... unless that has changed recently.

im a Msmuggler/Mbh...so i'm mostly pistols (which i hear is the worst type of weapon sadly

) i'll have to check out rifle one day!

As with most things higher level than you... don't get hit. Use snares, roots, and KDs. I can solo the 109 FS guys on dant that drop decent AAs. You can do it, just have to use strategy. You also want high accuracy... if you miss once on a root/snare/kd on higher level stuff it's usually time to run.
