stupid....

I think it should be BH terminal based, and a bounty hunter can only accept 2 missions per week, and they carry over to next week, pay what ever the person asking wants to pay them, say at a 50k or more cap, so BH can say hey, no, I'll do the one paying 100k not the one paying 50k..... and people can only put a bounty on 1 person per week, or maybe every 2 weeks...... that'd keep it from getting out of control, HERE IS THE CATCH

both players would appear red, the target and the BH.... HOWEVER not on the radar, they would only appear red, aggro, by line of site.... that would make it fun and hard, challenging....

That would never work. If player bounties are ever to be implemented it would have to be in a way that can not be abused. Your suggestion has griefing written all over it. Player Bounties would have to be in some way voluntary to the PVP people.

I've been preaching it for as long as I can remember...err well as soon as I decided to ascend the BH tree.

Player bounties should definetly be incoperated into the game. I'm talking if someone does you wrong then you should have the right to hire a BH to go after that person. After all isn't that sort of our creed. "Cleaning up the scum of the universe."

Now some people might say,"Well there would be to much griefing in the game." There are several things that one can do in order to solve this problem.

1. Set a min. of 50k -100k for bounties.

2. You must be a Master BH in order to be eligible for hiring.

3. When a person finally finds a MBH they two must proceed to agree on a price, once the price is agreed upon the money is then transfered to a "holding account" where it sits until the BH has completed his/her mission. However, should the BH fail to complete this mission, by eitherjust giving up or being incapped, the money will not be given back to the player issueing the bounty, but instead it will be "donated" to the Spynet Operatives. After all they have to eat to right?

4. A player can of course not have several bounties on several players. However if the person decides to hire out more than one bounty on the same person they should be able to, of course additional fees will apply, but they all go to the "pot" and which ever BH kills the person first wins.

Now some people might say,"Well what about the multi-multi-multi-multi-millionares in the game? Aren't they just going to be able to run rampid with their money?." They answer to this is YES! of course they will be able to if they so choose. I mean they earned the money didn't they? SHouldn't they be able to spend it however they wish? I'm sure when you acquire you several million if you ever do you'll be able to spend it how you please. Plus this will add to the "starwarsy" feel of the game. I mean Jabba is a rich mofo right? And he puts bounties out all the time. SO GET OVER IT!

Another, idea for the BH mission terminals are factional bounties. Now what this is, is when a player gets really low on one of the more prominent factions such as the Jabba, Imperial, Rebel, Hutt, Valarian, ect... Now the concept behind this is that if you do reach we'll say -5000 in a powerful faction then you will proceed to have a bounty put upon your head by that faction. IF perchance a BH takes up a bounty on a particular player (which should only allow for one BH per person b/c the bounties are not as severe as Player Hired Bounties) they automatically get +4000 faction points for the faction that hired them out thus keepingbounties from reapeting themselves. Now I'm not saying that this will happen ALL THE time when a player reaches -5000 of a powerful faction, I'm just talking some of the time.

Oh yeahalmost forgot. Also perhapsthe Smuggler proffession should be able to be flagged for BH missions, but of course as you go up the Smuggler tree the less prone to be"caught" you are. Thus once you reach MS you will be imune to the BH flag.

Money can't be a factor in determining bounty'sbecause money is a joke in the game right now. There are multi-millionaire's in the game that could put out all kinds of bounty's on players for griefing and it would not dent their wallet. Just because you are able to aquire millions of credits does not give you the right to grief other players.

This system would also be exploited by players with multiple characters or friends who simply pay each other to hunt down people they want to grief with no money lost in the process.

I would not bet on a player bounty system any time soon simply because there is too much potential for griefing. The only way it could potentially work is if it had a way to opt in / out of paricipating in player bounty's.

This idea just came to me. If its been mentioned before then just /slap me. We all want more player bounties. We want to hunt real people and not just Jedi. The problem lies in griefing the game play of others. Why not link player bounties to factional rank. Whether Reb or Imp we all spend factional points to advance in rank. Why not set up the system so that at a certain rank level, warrent officer for example, players have a chance of ending up on the BH terms. As you increase in rank the chance getting on the terms increases incrementaly. Players could decide, by not advancing in rank or remaining neutral, whether or not to take part in this form of PVP. It makes sense too, I mean wouldn't factions place bounties on high ranking members of the opposing faction? It seems to me this simple solution would make everyone happy and fit nicely into the GCW. What do you guys think?

Thanks

I'm a colonel. I'm a BH. I get on the terminals. I take my own mission. Someone explain how they would stop that?

By not allowing you to accept a mission on yourself. The same way they won't let a male player put on a dress. Also, payment should be in the form of factional points, not credits to avoid exploiting.

Besides if you did take a mission on yourself, how would you kill yourself? Running into the DW Bunker naked and dancing for a Super Battle Droid? Even then it would be the Droid that killed you not yourself.

Killing myself is not the point. I could run around with my mission all day and no one else could take it. Not that i would cause i like pvp but im just saying its a concerning scenario.

Unless it's changed, my experiance hunting jedi is that multiple BH's can get the same mission anyway, so holding your mission really won't keep you from being hunted. Besides people who are of higher rank, like you, normally would not dodge a fight anyway.
