From what i have read in these post is there is a few who like this new patch but most of us dont...

Why dont any of the guys in charge answer these post ?

they make them and let us rav and flame and dont seem to answer....

WHEN are they gonna sort out the offline problem ?

CAN they just take jedi's on kash of the terminals...

I myself would then be a little bit happier than i am now....as to the killing of knights goes im just gonna keep on trying and prob dieing to...but after all my trying if i fail i will just change my temp and that is that...but they really DO NEED TO SORT OUT THE PROBLEMS...hell if this was the jedi forum im sure they would already be replying with yes we are aware and are working on it..they dont wanna upset the jedi after all do they,,.,,

- It's time the devs end the bitter fighting by giving the community a Non Jedi server. We have a few servers with TINY populations that could be changed to this ruleset. I support this idea because it punishes noone. - You can support it too. Click Here!

i'm guessing there may be some delay between jedi going offline and thier mission coming off terminals...what this delay is, i don't know.

You may be getting the same 4 jedi that are offline mulitple times. I know last night i had 2 located in dath space so i possibly picked up the same jedi twice. I was only taking imp missions so taking certain faction may make you end up getting same missions multiple times.

servers size may also be a factor on how many offline jedi you pull as bigger servers have more people coming online and going offline

I am not here to bash the Publish nor am I hear to be bashed for my opinion. But this publish was not very well thought out. I really hope the developers read these posts. But the Bounty Hunter system is a nessassary thing. Its to keep the balance on the already overly Jedi populated servers.

When this game was first dreamed up in its early days the debate on whether or not to have playable Jedi was out there for the main reason Lucas wanted this game to be true to the Star Wars Universe. But of course it was a known fact that this game would not sell if becoming a Jedi was not possible. The question then became "How do we keep the Jedi population down?". The result was permadeath. Over the first year there were few who actually went thru the whole Holo-grind and became a Jedi. People complained. The developers caved in and made becoming a Jedi a quest based system and now as a result : everyone is a Jedi. To make matters worse they removed permadeathimplementedskill loss. The Developers then dropped the ball again and gave Jedi a nice cushy planet where they can hunt and earn experience with no threat of any penalties from dying. Kashyyyk.

So here we are now. The Developers dreamed up publish 20. Some of the additions were good while others were bad. Lets go over the positives and negatives of this publish:

  • Good: Cowardly Jedi cant run into thier homes anymore to avoid facing the Bounty Hunter.

  • Good: Missions in terminals are only for Jedi on-line

  • Bad :BH's don't know the name of the Jedithey arehunting untilthey areon the same planet as the Jedi. By the timethier seeker sends back the name andthey send another seeker out to track the guy he has already moved into space therefore givingus BH'sthe infamous "Your target is not online" message.

  • Bad : Every profession has ways to make money. Whether by tips or by selling items. A Bounty Hunter will never be tipped by the Jedi he is killing and also is banned in many cities because he killed another sore loser of a Jedi. That made the 50k to 226k missions more reasonable. Now We get missions worth 46k when we are better off just taking the NPC missions worth 38k. (almost sounds like that is what is intended. Doesn't it?)

  • Bad : We don't have any idea the skill level of the Jedi we are hunting til we run up on the guy. We had an idea who we would group to kill or just take out solo and now I have not even figured out how to get a group mission being every mission could be anyone.

So my whole attitude on this publish is disappointment. Its obvious this set of developers just want to do away with Jedi bounties altogether but do not want to anger the community. I say if you are going to do it then just do it rather than take an axe and scalpel and make the profession unfun.

But before I go I would like to finish this off with 1 more thing. The developers (since this game went live) asked the question "How do we make this game feel more Star-warsy?". The answer is simple. Less Jedi. I put in Star Wars episode IV into my DvD player and watched closely while Obi-Wan and Luke were passing thru Mos Eisley. I was looking to count how many Jedi were running around with thier lightsabers killing Storm troopers. It was the oddest thing. I didnt see any. yet I go to Mos Eisley in this game and there is a Jedi city not 500 meters from the place.

The wierd thing also is how is a Jedi an Imperial? Can someone please tell me? The Emporor is hunting these guys yet most Jedi are Imps. But that is a whole different topic so I will save it for another day.

Us Bounty Hunters were given the Jedi missions to slow the growth of the Jedi and yet the Developers are only helping to populate the servers.

Bring back permadeath and/or add skill loss to Kashyyyk. Also adjust the mission prices back to old. If something is not done then you might as well rename this game "Star Wars Galaxies: The Jedi Plague".

You don't understand the new payout system. Read the patch notes again and let me share with you what one of your fellows posted " I get payed 221k for his mission and 86k from the BH guild".

Thanks for your reply. I guess it is possible that the same mark was getting chosen, but that would make the delay you mentioned pretty long.

But it could have been different Jedi going offline just after i pulled the mission. If it's just due to bad timing, that's something I can suck up and live with.

Any ideas on names not being granted with seekers?

i have never been this frustrated in the game as ive been this 2 days.

out of about 40 missions ive had 5 fights, 60% not online, rest on kashyyyk.

the 5 "fights":

3 killed me after some nice fighting (all of them with atleast defender 0040 of course)
and the other 2 cloaked and ran away and logged.

Now, the big issue is that defender is too powerful. Its impossible to kill a Master Defender (or defender with Force Aura2).
Next issue is Cloak, if a jedi fights you and they start to think youre too strong they cloak (my tactic is to keep them at 32m+)
and run away and logg.

Are we having fun yet?

This patch killed me as an active BH.

I feel this patch was ment to remove the jedi/bounty hunter conflict. I feel like in 3 months the only people you'll see at theBH terms are those people who are trying to master BH and those people so bored with everything else in the game that they'd pull their own eye lids off if only for something to do.

As far as I'm concerned the BH/jedi conflict is done for me. I can make the same amount of money safer and with less headache in space or running normal missions and I don't end up banned from PC cities or on peoples hit lists. I'm not gonna /respec or anything...I love the class itself. I'll just from now on be a pve bounty hunter...I think it was theirintent anyway. I just don't see any point in getting into a fight under these conditions...especially in light of the enemies it'll make me and themeager rewards. I mean I can duel for money in the starports and do better then this system.

I am not one to jump on here and complain or anything, however there are a few things on my mind. First if i see one more post about a jedi padawans being a "noob" I am going to go nuts.....they are noobs they have spent countless hours....days....months playing this game, they have become force sensative for a reason, they didnt get lucky. As far as I am concerned the SOE team does not want us hunting Jedi anymore, because as someone said earlier that is where they make their money and most, not all, Jedi complain about being hunted by BH's so they play to the hand that feeds them, whatever. Lets face it if this game goes along the lines of the movies I saw no love being given to the Jedi padawans, that were children mind you, by the Empire. Anyways, lets forget about the Jedi's, I have learned to ignore most of them, PvP Bounty Hunting is why i became a MBH. So since the Jedi are off-limits to those of us that are not MBH/MR/MCM lets add more content and make the Smugglers a PvP option. Not only will it give us more options when we go and take Bounties but it will actually give another proffesion more content, and trust me they need it bad, was originally going the smuggler way but there was no point to being one. Just my thoughts.

I finished off Investigation IV just a couple of days before this Publish - on a steady diet of NPCs. Despite the weirdness of the mission difficulties, it was often a good time. At 4444 now, I need only complete the master box to decide if I ever want to hunt Jedi. If the feedback I've been reading in this thread - and in the thread seeking opinions on 20 - is true, I probably never will. It might have been fun. However, I did want to check out the mission difficulty fix - definitely a good thing - only to find that I can no longer use the informants I did to achieve Investigation IV. I'm told at every turn that I need to find a "neophyte handler." I'm not a neophyte, right? Have the informants been changed as well? Or is this a bug?

The changes are cool BUT lol I thought that as soon as a Jedi Went offline it would remove their mission it is tough enough to take a Jedi, then you get a mission and go to see where they are and it says offline then another and another I mean I went throu like 5 missions in arow like that.
