Taking out names was overkill. Dropping the number of BH to 3 per mission and hiding the rewards was enough. Give us our names back so we can tell if our marks are online. The dev's will never fix the bugs out of the current system since it is a lag issue.
The problem with telling if the marks are online is just really, really, REALLY lazy coding on the Dev's part. The only way that anonymizing missions will work is if the terminals did real-time checking of a Jedi's online status whenever the mission list is refreshed. I suspect it doesn't work this way. It probably does a random selection from a pool of Jedi that were once online in a fairly recent amount of time (probably in the past hour), but no longer are online. It's just really lazy hacks that they did. They should've integrated the code that the friend's list uses to check the comings and goings of people. They didn't because, well, they're lazy.
I got 6 in a row before I got a full temp that I didn't stand a chance against. Bugger.
(I know, I suck because I can't take on a full temp and win. But I'm ok with that!)
the jedi-whin0r-correspondent did a really good job !
most of jedi-wished changes are coming. but where are our BH-wishes ?? any statement of our correspondent ?? where is tank ?? hello ?
no, hedidnt a real good job ! ![]()

9 out of 12 offline so far. The 3 that were happened to be on kash. Went through a ton of arakyds. Taking 3 hrs to find a target that was for sure online was a better waste of time imo.
it shouldn't waste an arakyd when your target is offline.
OK, I just spent a full hour, checking the terms, running to the spynet, getting the bio-sig, and heading to a spot where I could launch my droid, only be told my target isn't online each time! A full hour! OK, OK, I wisened up after about the fifth attempt and started just trying to launch seekers from in front of the spynet op, but that only strengthens my case because I attempted to send more than I would have by cutting out the travel time back and forth to my arakyd launch point. The point is that this is just sick. Did I like typing the name of each mark into my friends list to see if he/she was online before I accepted the mission? No. Did I like carrying around over 700 jedi names in my friends list for "quick" reference as to their online status and faction affiliation? No. On paper, the changes in publish 20 sounded OK: We essentially traded the name of the mark for their faction affiliation and opportunity to view missions only on jedi who were online. I know that the qualifyer was inserted to explain that the mission would only be generated while the jedi was online and afterwards, the jedi could, of course, log off. But something has to be done, honestly.
For players like me who enjoy playing late at night, we're seeing all the missions generated all day long which are left on the terminals long after the mark has logged off and gone to sleep. There needs to be a way to remove the missions from the terminal when the jedi are not online, pure and simple. Funny--when start reading replies to this thread early on, there aren't very many who are too unhappy with the new mechanics. That's because those hunters were seeing missions which were freshly generated on jedi who had just gotten themselves put on the terminal. As the day wears on, the majority of the posts gets more and more negative, and this is why. Tanks, I'm not trying to make things difficult for you, but seriously; You gotta tell 'em-- Either put the names back on the terminals or at LEAST remove the missions from the terminals when the jedi loggs off.
As for NPCs, well... At first I was elated to see that the mission difficulties had beeen increased. I was even happier when I found my mark and he wasa CL 82. My excitement fades pretty quickly, however. Putting an "82" over a meatlump's head does not a challenge make, my friend. He did seem to move around a lot more than I remember NPCs moving, and it took a bit longer to catch up to him, but as for the combat, well...
I like to ad something constructive to my posts when I can, so here's my suggestion regarding NPC's: First, make them tough. And I mean tough! During dry spells before, I used to like to take NPC missions with no buff just to make a little money and have some fun. I remember I actually had to use my combat droid to tank for me on many of them! That was fun. Simply doing busy work and "chasing" the spawn back and forth for ten minutes and then waltzing up and popping him in the head a couple of times is neither immersive nor challenging. Secondly, maybe they could drop a little loot once in a while? I mean, we had a whole "loot upgrade" a few months back, and now we're back to amassing dozens upon dozens of useless items to sell to junk dealers and CDEF pistols. (Only now they're called "Blackhand Annhilators and look a bit different). It's pretty obvious that the devs would like to see less of us focus so much time on just hunting jedi, so give us a reason to continue to kill the NPC's after we reach master, too. I'm not suggesting that each bounty target should drop an "uber" AA like Rifle Speed +25, but maybe 1/10 times we could find a +10 or something. Something to look forward to or at least to hope for would be a big start. Plus it would give us something to do when all the player jedi are logged off and their missions are still on the terminals.
All i have to say is Thanks SOE for ruining my Business that i have had since the beginning...Now all that is GONE, I used to be the best solo hunter on my server, i took custom bounties from real player clients to hunt the jedi that they wanted gone, Now that is gone, Thanks SOE for ruining my Fun and business that all i had left in the KOTOR Ridden game..
Just remove Player bounties alredy because its all gone with this crappy system.

I still want a "Search" button on terminal.
I dont want it to be more difficult to pick up missions but easier.
Has nothing to do with the actual fight vs the jedi.
Now they dont even get visability by grouping, how hard can it be for them to stay of terminals FFS
This is like trying to limit speeding on highway, by makeing it hard to get into the car.
Maybe there is something I'm missing, but I'm sure you are going to be fighting the same full temps solo, some realistic insight would be nice.

I started playing my current character just over a month ago, and used my token respec to change my character from Teras Kasi to Rifleman, since I didn't like the COMPLETE nerfing (and bugging) of Teras Kasi. (Sidenote, TKM needed a nerf ... too much power for too little skill points ... )
I was three missions into investigation 4 (a 3-4-4-4 BH) when publish 20 went through. Not too surprised that I had to go back to my old Informant, since jedi hunting was moved up to MBH, but QUITE surprised that my mission payouts dropped 10k ... thus nerfing my experience by 200 a mission.
I saw the statement that mission targets would be comparable to the mission level, and being a clvl 71 4-4-4-4 rifleman/3-4-4-4 BH/3-0-0-0 CM, I figured I could still take on a lvl 77 NPC in 1 on 1. The lvl 77 mission spawned a lvl 81 target ... on Dathomir, so no clean LOS.
Even if it WERE in an ideal situation, i probably would have lost, but if i had WON, my XP would still have been nerfed.
While I fully understand what the respec has done to the profession, I do not understand why that has to impair someone who went out of their way not to exploit it?
My main idea here is to fix the lvl of the spawns to reflect the difficulty of the mission EXACTLY, and up the payouts by a slight percent. When you go from taking a mission and killing your target in three hits for 31k credits to getting ROCKED by a target who would have only given you 22k credits, how is this a fix?

Some interesting points being raised in here, so let me add my penny worth:
I am MBH & M Carbines, and so far have had no success wih Jedi, now i cant even see what level my jedi is so im damned if i am going to even try my luck against Jedi!
Second point is we really do need some sort of Formal BH guild/faction so that everyone can work together, that way MBH can get a group together and hunt full template Jedi properly. For now im going to stick to NPC bounties until i am convinced that this battle between MBH and Jedis is balanced and fair and not, as as it currently is heavily weighted against us MBH.

I think its obvious that the design of Kashyyyk is intended to sell copies of ROTW to existing players who are leveling up their Jedi. It was designed to make it easy for them to level on safely, so that it would sell the expansion to those players who might otherwise have ignored it. It will remain exploitable like this as long as its good for sales - and thats why they stated it was a Producer's decision not a devs.
For the same reason identifying your mark on the terminal has been made difficult as well, though not completely impossible it seems. This is probably because Bounty Hunter is the second most popular profession after Jedi, and many Jedi have a BH alt. They can't cripple BH entirely or risk losing that segment of the playerbase.
In other words its all about the sales revenue and nothing about the game balance or reason. Arguing against it is like p****** into the wind. Jedi produces sales, and sales gets executives promoted and increases the bottom line. The game is progressing along this path because it sells to the public that way. Same thing with the CU, its easier for people to understand a level based system because thats what they had in other games, so this game has switched from its clever skills-based system to a hybrid that includes levels. Likewise the curren gutting of the crafting classes - this patch introduced a bug that makes experimentation completely impossible (well you can do it but you are blind to the results, so same thing effectively) that was reported on TC but completely ignored and went live anyways. So, probably no crafting being done at all until they fix that for most if not all crafters. I know I will be producing NO weapons in the forseeable future. Most crafting professions have major flaws in them, but the represent a smaller portion of the population so they get screwed over patch after patch, and the devs introduce increased drops with ROTW so that crafters are marginalized even further.
Soon you are going to have a KOTOR flavoured version of EQ 1in space because the producers have decided that tearing things out of the game is easier than fixing problems.
I am glad to see you can at least get the mark's name from a Seeker droid, since those were bugged before at least this might make them need purchasing a bit more often.
Bingo.
