Thread: THE DUEL EXPLOIT

If sitting in civvies on the steps of a cantina in a ghost town to "deceive" a fully buffed Jedi counts as a "disguise" to you, I'm not sure who's the bigger chump.
You might want to go back and re-read the post that started this tangent - we weren't talking about someone hanging around unnoticed and taking out a weakened Jedi, we were talking about a paranoid and fully-prepared Jedi that assumes EVERYONE is a BH. Sadly, if she was as discreet as she was paranoid, she wouldn't worry about being hunted at all.
Im just stating my point that you cannot judge from clothing that a BH is not about to attack. If somebody has an MBH tag it doesnt matter if he wears his armor or just his undies, he might have a mission. I dont even have any BH skills and get those questions because of my MBH tag in my bio. Talk about a Jedi being aware of her surroundings.
Fair enough - but the original Jedi we were talking about wasn't bright enough to justify her level of paranoia. I stand by my original statement that there is simply no way an unarmed, unarmored and unbuffed BH can possibly take out a healthy Jedi who is not otherwise distracted.
The game would be a lot better off without Jedi who manifest that magnitude of stupidity.

Maybe the Jedi buffed up after she saw the BH sitting around in the city? He could have been there for her, trying to look innocent in order to make her feel secure while stalking her, and she just wanted to get it over with - nothing wrong with that.
well I am a master BH.
But I forgot to mention two things, one the "girl" turned out to be infact be a guy who I was in a guild with for over 4 months. He didn't say hi styler you here for me, or tell me it was him, (why do guys play girl jedi anyway?!?!?!).
And the other thing, they demanded I send my old buddy (who told me about the guild in the first place) screen shots of my spatial log to prove I didn't have the mission.
Oh and the "girl" jedi owned the guild and the town too.
As you may imagine the whole attraction of joining that guild was killed quite quickly after that, Even my old buddy was acting crap about it.
I think some people really do need to "unplug" for a while, gets alittle worrying when things get that heated.
"YOU're HERE FOR ME AREN't YOU! ADMIT IT DAMMIT FIGHT ME FIGHT ME FIGHT MEEEEEEE!"
*sigh*
"maybe I should just leave and you have a lil lie down....at least a si of some jawa tea...."
(/shake head)
Here's one for you.
After talking to an old guild mate on friday, yesterday I decided to visit a town on rori as my old pal said his new guild (Knowing it was situated there as i found out the guild lived there by accident) was a good imp pvp guild.
Once there I found the cantina, only one inside and not much life about so I decide to sit on the cantina steps and drink my tea thinking that a member of this guild (who's not AFK) will surely appear sooner or later.
After must hae been around 2 minutes a female imp jedi turns up, buffing herself silly, double sabre in hand, yelling "come on then! COME ON lets go COME ON!"... she was obviously quite het up about something, she also had a few wounds so i'm not sure if a bH had just given her a beating I don't know.
Anyway turns out that she was absolutely sure I was there for her, as she had tried the duel exploit and apprently had been informed I "had her mission"...??!. I had no such thing.
And here let me say I was sat with normal clothes, no helm or armour on me what so ever, not even holdinga weapon and as unbuffed as the day was born.
I'm sure BH are trying just about every tactic under the sun, but sittingon the jedi's town cantina steps, is hardly the most suprising tactic, especially since they can do the duel exploit effort.
In the end not sure exactly what happened, but me thinbk due to lag or whatever, this duel end duel might not quite be as accurate as people think, which may ultimately explain the fact that I've seen jedi very nervious these days full temp or not, suddenly bolting off, or buffing themselves like some kind of force junkie when ever someone even walks in there direction.
Seems we have more paranoid jedi about, than what you'd probably find out side a ganja marathon jedi smokeathon.
Deary me....
"that kreetle just looked at me twice..."
"*&^%%& BH disguise LEG IT!!!!!!!"

As far as I have heard it works 100% of the time. Maybe she didnt do the /duel exploit but figured since she was the only Jedi in town that you might be there for her? Its pretty common for BHs to camp cantinas.
On another note, I only have a MBH badge in my bio and get the "who are you here for" spatial stuff because I usually run around with a Grand Healers Robe and an Advanced Laser Rifle, trying not to show off Paddy robes and lightsabers too much

My advice to those who think that /duel .. /endduel is an exploit.
First look up the word exploit in the dictionary. Then do your best to understand what the defintion means.
Then once you learn the meaning.... Cease using the word "exploit" to describe every incident you dis-like.
Definitions of exploit on the Web:
- use or manipulate to one's advantage; "He exploit the new taxation system"; "She knows how to work the system"; "he works his parents for sympathy"
