Nope, the guy probably IS a Jedi already. Why?
Because to become a Jedi there is a specific Item you need to find first. Remember, the character you play with now is not the force sensitive one. This item that you find involves you in a quest related tothe Jedi. For finishing this quest, your reward is the FS slot. The Devs said it would probably be months before Jedi showed up because these items are hard to find. The items will be in very difficult or remote environments, however, that doesn't mean that you can'tfind theitems by a stroke of dumb luck. It'sreally a game of chance.
Starting Jedi will have trouble though, seeing as how muchtrouble itis to evenlearn Padiwon Basics I...
Wow, where does this stuff come from? There is no "ubermission" to get your FS slot. Obtaining an FS slot is different for every single account, perhaps every single character. You won't even know if your on a the mission that gives you an FS slot. Even if your firend got an FS slot and you do the same missions he does from day one of character creation, you will almost definatley NOT unlock your FS slot that way.
Dev's gave a lot of hints during beta about what would NOT be the way to get an FS slot. Getting an FS slot is not your typical "Epic Quest". Anything you do with your character can get you closer to unlocking the slot, or take you further away... The best way to get your FS slot, is to just play your regular character with skill and have fun, then it COULD happen.

I created a character on intrepid just to see...I have sent you messages a dozen times and am still waiting for you to flash me your tag.
I know that I am posting alot and I think you all for reading them. Most of this is real boot stuff but I dont know so I will ask.
I have read alot of stuff on SWG but there is very little in the way of jedi
is becoming a jedi possible for everyone? Is it random for a char to beable to become one?
