What's it for? What's it all about? For ME, it's about being able to play the game as the most iconic profession in the SW setting. That's what I'm WORKING for, is to have FUN playing what I want later.
Yes, changing your temp is a pain, given the grind time involved.
Currently, you can grind to full template without much interference from BH's if you pay attention. Don't go PVPing, until you're ready for PVP to find you. Don't go showing off unless you're prepared to have a BH come show off on you. Don't go slaughtering NPC's unless you're prepared to have a BH attempt to slaughter you. Keep those basic rules in mind and you'll mostly be ok. There are the odd accidents, but currently vis is very much in a Jedi's control. Given that, BH's are very much in a Jedi's control.
And then, once you've got a temp you want, THEN settle back and have fun doing what you want to do.
And if you completely change your mind and don't want to do Jedi AT ALL, or at least at all for now, you have your alt to fart around on with different templates and can play that all day without having to wonder if that blue dot approaching is a BH or not.
My problem is that it doesn't seem like you (once you reach that full temp and get to do what you want to do) actually get to do what you want to do... all the time. Sure, you may want bounty hunters to come for you, but now they come any time, anywhere, as opposed to grabbing your mission when they see you jiving at a starport- if they feel lucky.
Now, with only online jedi on the terms, you'll prolly see more action than ever before. So you want to go group with your friends and fight big stuff. You'll prolly get sniped at the worst possible time and go down. Which leads me to the original posters comlaint,

But, Its totally fair to say that there are jedi out there who will step out of the cloner with only the thought of getting back to their group and continuing. Yet, the ones that would prefer no xp loss while grinding up seem to not have the patience to deal with the upper level frustrations.
I've grouped my BH with jedi who were grinding up, and many, I mean many time other groups came zooming by to get their mission spots, too. I don't know how much vis it takes to get on the terms, but it seems totally safe to say that no paddy will be exempt from bounty hunters with these new changes, no matter how careful they are.
Just no such thing as a pve jedi.

They can be exempt, it just requires a fair amount of caution. And technically there is no PVE Jedi, but with care, you can eventually make full template without being hunted once. It just takes alot more work to get to the point where you can have fun.
I'm looking forward to finishing my temp. I'm looking forward to BH visits when I finish my temp. Not because I'm going to be a pwnzorinator (I wouldn't be going Master Powers if I just wanted to 'pwn' people), but because THEN it will be fun. THEN it will be stressfree and I can enjoy the fight, rather than worry about the consequences of losing.
Sometimes life is tough, if you think Jedi grinding now is hard, it used be 10x harder and is getting easier every single publish. As a casual player I've done the Jedi grind 1 1/2 times. Done MBH, in the bad old days and in the new easy days and just about everything else. You can either whine about it, or just go and do it. Take your XP loss like a man, pick yourself up, learn what mistakes you made and give it your honest best effort and you'll finish the Jedi grind in no time flat and be proud of yourself for taking a loss and not making it a defeat.

You flat don't know who you're talking about for one thing. I've posted threads on limiting Jedi power. I've posted things that would make it easier for BH's to hunt Jedi. I've posted post-Template Knight penalties. So either do some research and learn something about the person you're denigrating, or continue to speak and prove your foolishness.

Now first off, let me apologize for suggesting anyone was an idiot, that's exactly the sort of adolescant flaming that I hate on these boards.
Now, without any analogieshere is what I am trying to say:
The Bounty Hunter/Jedi relation is part of this game. People grinding Jedi that don't enjoy it should reconsider playing Jedi (or this whole game). Coming and whining on the forums is not going to make Bounty Hunters stop hunting Jedi and collecting their bounties, it only serves to clutter the forums with useless, uniformative threads like this.

I'm grinding Jedi. I don't find the whole being stalked thing to be much fun, so I've been burning my pre-Pub20 vis off and playing my alts. Then when I'm pretty sure I'm all done with that, I'm going into the woods and finishing off my temp. Then I'll have fun, which includes sneaking around in the middle of the night and /forcechoke-ing every gungan on the face of Naboo.
It's not the BH aspect I don't like, it's the exp loss. Once my temp is finished, I'll give every BH that does come after me the fight they're looking for.

Yes, I hunt jedi to make them lose XP, so what that's what Im supposed to do. That's why the devs made the game the way they did. Don't blame the bh's if you dont like it, why not complain to the devs they are the ones who set it up like this. If jedi xp loss were to go away I would cancel my 2 accounts.
We (bh's) are supposed to rid the galaxy of all jedi, be happy your jedi does not have to deal with perma-death and get over it.
There's medication you should be taking.
