Thread: PvP Jedi Planet Limit
So instead of the glow sticks we will have Rifles + MBH tags everywhere..
First was the tkm
then the defense stacking fencer+pistoleor
then the CM+Master rifle
add to that the spider venom,
then exceptional weapons..
Soon we will be having spelling b's to see which side wins..
but good idea on the 2 GCW jeti. Since there are atleast 100 light jeti on my server, /50 for 2. round down to 48.. so my jeti for 30min each day, Hopefully if i am at home online, to play. gets to pvp. factor different planets,
But then again, i gotta pray that pvp happens on naboo, /wink..
Keep thinking, and planning.. That is honestly a good start, now plan for bigger things. For i know there are atleast 200 light jeti on tempest. Not all pvp, not all on at same time, etc...
I think the only way to prevent Jedi overload in GCW is to make the Jedi what they are in the movies. Make them the generals of the battle. Give them squad leader abilities to boost the performance of the troops doing the actual fighting. Jedi would only be able to fight other Jedi.
Problem solved

Ya know...that isn't that bad of an idea.
Don't get me wrong. I think if a player wants to have combat with a Jedi they should. I think the Jedi Special Forces option is a step in the right direction. But having Squad Leader abilities for Jedi has some synergy with the movies (unlike many things in SWG) and gives a Jedi the ability to have some effect on the battle without ruining the GCW.
Just my opinion...

you only have 100 light sided jedi on your server?
wow - I counted last night EST USA time 37 with sabers out in some fashion. Thats only on Naboo and Dant ...couldnt find the ones on Kash....yet

Ok so you're saying give Jedi abilities they had in Episodes pre-GCW, like in episodes 1-3.. Well if you read the timeline for SWG, it's at a time where Jedi are almost exctinct and not leading armies.. All I'm saying is your reasoning makes no sense if you want to keep with the timeline of SWG.
In case you haven't noticed....the dev's left the time line in beta.

ah yes. Let's give squad leader abilities to other professions. Great idea. But I think we should give squad leaders a bit of a boost to compensate...so let's them use lightsabers and force powers. Sound good to you?
Squad Leaders have enough to put up with without people trying to take what few skills they have and giving them to Jedi. Jedi's aren't squad leaders. Heck Squad Leaders aren't even squad leaders. They're just another profession that was never fixed since the development team ran fresh out of ideas. I rarely see a Squad Leader leading a squad, unless it's somebody with just enough squad leader to take out a base. So try not stealing from other professions. I mean hasn't there been enough of that?

I agree with the making the Jedi like the movies idea but I disagree with your idea. Here is why. Timeline. Plain and simple.
During this timeline if there were any Jedi then they were untrained because anyone available to train them were either dead or in hiding. So anyone who is a Jedi now should be a self taught Jedi. Not so strong and definately not as powerful.
But to limit the numbers of Jedi (spelled Jedi not Jeti for the other guy) per server effectively is to put a hard cap on the number of Jedi per server. Once the cap is reached then the village should finally fall to the Sith forces and dissapear into nothingness.
Then to lessen the number of the already capped Jedi then permadeath should be reinstated.

I am sorry but its the only way.
