Hi all,
I was wondering: Is it usefull to be a MCH when you are a MBH?
Does using a pet add more advnaces in battle then for example: Mastering Pistol in combo with MBH?
Please advice :-)
Thanx!

But with a tank (pet) you could distract the aponent. Isn't this a big advantage?

That depends on the pet. There was a BH/rifleman/CH that had a really mean rancor who tore Jedi up on my server. Since Sabers no longer do insane pve dmg pets can hold their own agains jedi. If you have a pet with around 500dmg attacks 5k or more health and high energyresist you might want to go for it.
Its a different BH template and a fun one from what iv seen. Problem is low offence and no healing but its a nice switch from all the other respec MBH/MR 4000 cm or 0004 pistoleer.

But why no healing? I calculated a template that had healing in it an MBH and MBH

As a former BH/CH... it's a big advantage in PvE, against NPC marks. In PvP, it's useless. When I've been attacked by people's pets, I always remember that the pet goes bye-bye if the CH gets killed. So I make that my primary mission.

no more tanking !!!
you can sent your pet into fight and either NPC Jedi or PC might stick to fight it until you come in to attack.
first hit of yours does more damage than any pet will do ( unless you hit bare handed ) and this fact will catch your marks attention/aggro so it renders yuor pet useless as a tank - it stays a damage dealer stil though and with patch 21 it might deal some nice specials once you teached/learned them. but time will tell

I think ppl are to concerned with efficency over fun. Its not a sport its a game, do as you like or get 7k energy resist armour slice it to 75% armourbreak resist get MBH/RM/4000CM or MBH/MCM get foods/stims/spices get a 1200dmg low sac Laserrifle and be like Mike

All the above statements taken into account...if your mark is a swim-log pattern...MCH is great...nothing like hitting for 400 per tick without the jedi able to do anything. That said...very few still swim. (working on an all-damage non-CH BE pet for just this purpose)

Call me a noob, but what is "swim-log pattern"?

with the new specialization system its gonna be a good combo i think. there is a CH attack u can teach you pets called "self-sacrifice" that makes the pet take some or all the damge from attacks on you. they are like health crystals lol.

new CH has to really be tested. Not sure. There are some real possibilities here, especially where that aggression skill is concerned. If aggression works the way it is supposed to, you will have a very hard time breaking aggro from the pet.
