Okay I'm having a wierd problem with Investigation... I tried to grind straight through to Inv III as I am told is possible. Except that I was capped before Inv I and then again at Inv II. Okay so I try to get some Inv II missions, Low and behold I keep getting told that my mark can't be found on the planet I'm on by my Seeker, and the wp I get from the handler is always exactly 3k to the north of him. Without the ability to planetary track until the box I'm grinding to (Inv III) How the heck am I supposed to do this? I couldn't find anything anywhere stating anyone else is having this problem, I should also mention I started having this problem before Pub 21 and am still having it as of today. Thanks in advance.

Out of almost 50 people no one else has even heard of this problem? Man I like to be first for things, but not like this. =P

I think hes not useing a Akrid probe droid. I think???? his post lost me aswell.

Hmm....so you're at Inv II and you cant planet track..yet your mark isnt on the same planet as you? May have something to do with the mark difficulty getting boosted up, but as you said you were having this problem pre-21...not sure...

Thanks for the responses, I sent a CSR ticket as no one else I know seems to know a workaround... guess all I can do is hope they have some clue.

Their problem is that they're at inv II, and afik, you cant use probots untill inv III

not a workaround but easiest way to grind from invest 2 to invest 3 is to slice bases...just so you know. 1000 xp each slice.

Are you sure? It's been awhile but from what I remember... Investigation 2 lets you use the the Aarkyd and the Seekers to "seek/identify". Investigation 3 let's you "track" with your seeker.

According to what the knowledge base told me (if it's up to date that is) is that I can only get info and a waypoint on my target at Inv II. And once I get Droid Tracking (at Inv III) I can find out what planet they're hiding on.

Well, it's very simple. Do you have arakyd droids? Have you used them? It's been awhile since I leveled investigation, but if you have not used arakyd droids, go buy them and try them.
