What sever and how does it work?

1. Instead of the terminals coming up with the bounties for normal people or smugglers or whatever, let players post the bounties at the terminals and put up the money for the bounties themselves. Still make it so that master bounty hunters are the only ones who can collect on the bounties and make it so that BHs can't place the bounties they can only collect on them.
2. Make xp loss for everyone, not just the Jedi or the hunted. That way who ever loses the battle, either BH or Mark, will suffer the xp loss. I think this will make the stakes a bit higher for all involved. Not implimenting this part will not break the idea, but it makes the flavor of the threat of death higher. It is an option.
3. Make a minimum and maximum amount for bounty posting based on the level of the mark and charge a 5%, 10% or 20% fee to the terminal to list the bounty. Also, make the minimum level that the mark can be 54. So they have at least one master profession before they can have a hit put on them.
4. Have a timer on the marks so that they can only be put on the terminals once every 3 days or week or something... i think 3 days would be sufficient.
5. Only one person can collect on the mark at a time. I.e. : whoever gets to the mark and kills him/her first gets the bounty and then the bounty is removed from the terminals.
6. Optional "compliance" rule. For all non jedi, when a person attempts to place a bounty on the BH terminal their mark gets a message that tells them that someone (not naming the name of the character placing the bounty) is placing a bounty on their head and asks if they wish to participate in this BH PVP event. Then they have the choice to accept or reject being involved. I think this is the best way to fill the SWG PVP compliance standard.
7. BHs are not allowed to place bounties,as mentioned before, however they are not exempt from them AND the optional compliance rule (#6) would NEVER apply to them. BH vs. BH sounds pretty fun to me.
8. Jedi cannot place bounties. Because of their secretive nature and wanting to keep hidden from the empire, signing their names to a BH Guild could place their ID in jeopardy and make them more visible . This, of course, wont stop jedi friends and alts from placing bounties.
9. Place faction loss/gain on the BH terminals. I think this should be in place now. If you kill a mark from the same factions as your own I think you should lose faction. Likewise, if you kill a mark from an opposing faction you should gain faction. You may be showing loyalty to the BH guild by killing any mark on the list, but you are definaltely no showing loyalty to your faction by killing it's members.
That is my take on the whole deal. I have had the idea for a while, and I have had no one say that they didn't like it.,on the contrary, they wished it were in place.
Ideas and comments on it are welcome. I doubt this will evr be implimented but I would like to see it.
I went to look at the website and the domain has expired, basically it was a group of players the volunteered to be "marks" and there were set rules in how the engagements went. It was pretty complex but sounded like it worked well. Very labor intensive to run since someone had to manually post all the bounties and track the missions to give the payouts.

Cool ideas, but the PvP compliance part is not fully elaborated. What's the point of being the victim of the BH if you have the choice not to be? Seriously, there is no upside to winning at all as the bountee (?)-you don't get money, you don't get loot, you don't get 'off' the terms, but you did get to cause the BH XP loss (whoopdido! You lost XP, but it doesn't affect anything!). Plus, there is no downsides to declining to participate. Why would I purposely want to engage an enemy I may or may not defeat for XP loss when I could just say no?
Well, I understand what you are saying. The compliance rule is mainly to cut exploits and greifers, but you are right in that there should be some reward for participating and beating your BH. Xp loss was really the on thing I could see. What do you think would be a good reward for the one who beat the BH? One thing, and it may be small, is that if you beat the BH then your mission is pulled from the terminals and the person that posted the bounty could lose the money he put up. Ideas on direct rewards/consequences for defeating the BH?

Naritus has (had) one in place. Don't know if there is anymore.

You do know every jedi has an alt and almost every jedi didn't grind this alt to jedi, this rule is a complete useles rule.
The whole system you suggest is not good i think, but that's would be such a long argument, i am not even bothered to post it

Well... this isn't the reason I put this up. I don't want to argue about it, I want real discussion about what you think and why. I am not like some of the people who post. I didn't put this up to argue... I just want REAL feedback, like if we were friends and discussing it in RL. Why don't you think it would work and why don't you like it and what, if anything, do you think would make it better, feesable or whatever? Give me your thoughts... I am not a Flamer nor will I ever be. I am a big girl, I can take it. ![]()
