Thread: Why all the outrage against pub 21 boss bounties?

Seems kinda silly when every other prof in the game is aching for any tiny bit more content and finally a prof gets some content they snap and bite at it like it's a bad thing.

I'm sure if you guys don't like the content the jedi would take some instead/tease

Cardossk- "Why die now when you can kill them later?"
Mylako- "I kill only when i'm paid. And since No one's paid me to kill you yet, sleep tight."

I like the idea of boss bounties. However, I fail to see how this is 'added content' for BH's. It's the same content, with different difficulty level. We've always had it, now it's just harder.

It's a good idea, though I think they should make the boss marks much more difficult. They should make me work just as hard to kill one of them as I do to kill a Jedi. That would be good for practice XD.

because its a bit late to "revamp" the npc bounties, they haven't changed in over 2 years. all of a sudden one dev(blixtev) claims he was "running some npc bounty missions over the weekend and discovered how lame they were." to anyone who has followed this profession this would seem odd since bhs have been saying since almost the beginning that npc bounties were lame, all of a sudden after 2 years a dev actually tries it and sees how lame they are. then over the course of what they claim was only a weekend, they have completely improved the whole npc bounty system. as a customer that has been paying for 2 years and been reading people saying that npc bounties were lame, it kinda bothers me that apparently none of the devs believed anyone or none of the devs bothered to take the 2 days necessary to fix them. now we have much bigger issues than the lame npc bounties that need to be looked at, apparently once again they'll ignore the input of people playing on live servers only to eventually discover 2 years later that maybe all the players weren't lying.

exactly, this is something that was asked for like 20 months ago, now all of a sudden it can be imagined and programmed in 2-3 days. this is a slap in the face of every single customer that has ever tried to give sony feedback.

All that aside people are b!tching about the fact that it was added, not how long it took.

Those are to seperate issues.

you're missing the point, my gripe isn't how long it took, my gripe is that this was an issue for bounty hunters 2 years ago, not one of the top issues now. if this was something that could be done in less than 3 days why wasn't it done 2 years ago when it was requested? blixtev has tried defending this by saying that he came in over a weekend, did a few npc bounties then realized how lame they were and then threw this idea together. my question is, if all it took was 3 days then why wouldn't they have listened to bounty hunters 2 years ago and taken 3 simple days to improve the profession.now it just looks like sony blatantly ignored the customers and thought "they're all lying, npc bounties aren't lame, they're really fun and interesting."

That's not what the bulk of the bh's on this board ARE complaining about

Fact is you got more content and your b!tching about it when your the only profesion that has remotely decent prof specific content atm. There's alot of fixes and what not that should have been put in earlier than they were but that's no reason to whine and cry when they finally do improve something. It's no wonder they don't do more, look at the reactoin it gets.

well they also said they just realized that seeker droids didn't get used up. WTH....makes me wonder if the devs even own computers.

what's next "what do you mean smugglers can't smuggle?"

Never claimed the devs were remotely smart, fact is a fix is put in and massive b!tching.

They finally do something and for every one post saying oh boy there's 20 complaining about it, and not just the fact that it took forever either.

exactly, after all the feedback and bug reports and everything all the people who aren't even getting paid work so hard to put together in a professional, intelligent manner apparently just get thrown out, i myself have never been the best at that so i just fill out the simple bug reports and submit them, but i see people putting together really great posts in the test center bug threads and apparently sony doesn't seem to place any sort of value on the customers' input, no matter how well put together their post is.

Because some people can never be happy. Yea we asked for stuff like this a LONG time ago, and now it is being added so lets complain about it? That makes sense. I don't care how long it took, I am not gonna complain about it be added finally.

no one is complaining about how long it took, blixtev came in and said "i noticed the npc bounty missions were lame", don't you see a problem here? HE SHOULD HAVE NOTICED THAT TWO YEARS AGO! WHAT KIND OF FEEDBACK WAS HE READING FOR THE PAST TWO YEARSIF HE JUST NOW REALIZED THEY WERE LAME?

sorry for the caps but apparently some people are missing the point and no matter how many times i rephrase it you still apparently won't understand. the issue is that for two years feedback and bug reports have been ignored, not the fact that the missions suck.

After re-reading this, a thought occurred to me. I haven't seen a single post that was against the boss bounties in pub 21. You claim 'everyone is b!tching' about them. Where? Show me.

(btw, trying to circumvent language filters is annoying)
