Thread: Jedi Population Control
1.Loot is server side controlled
2.Holocrons can't be traded (assumption)
1 + 2= Jedi population control. When there are to many people opening their FSCS they will simply lower the drop rate of the holocrons ![]()
Stocking the holocrons has no use since you can't trade them with other players. And as it looks now: you only need 3 of them.
And when you don't have any holocrons you can only do one thing: do it the hard way. Master every professions. Master every other profession. Don't know what step 3 is at the moment (master every other other profession?)
Happy hunting

1> You can only use it "One" time and then it will be gone.
2> You can collect more holocrons but only use one, for example if it says you need to master doctor then master that one first and then use your 2nd one, if you don't do that then the 2nd holocron will say the same as the 1st.
3> No one knows how many you need, people say you need to master eight professions but how do they know?? they're yust guessing it..
1) + 2): I know that. I was just referring to trading unused holocrons.
3) SomewhereI read that they found 3different 'voice' messages in the code. Could also mean they will be using one message multiple times (please no)
3 messages, but one of those has a variable. So you can insert any profession into that variable.
In other words, if you have 2 holocrons and one tells you to master Pistoleer, then you master pistoleer, the second one may give you the same message "You must learn X" but X is not pistoleer anymore, it's now Combat Medic. Then when you master that you get another holocron and it tells you to learn X again, but something else this time.

I think it is tied to 3 Profession not eight or 20..
3 Strings = 3 Professions.
If i remember right you can Master "3" professions at the same time...
I bet that is the key ![]()
There should be maximum amount of Jedi allowed for each server. Once that Jedi population cap has been released, the next Jedi would have to wait until one of the active jedi dies. I don't agree with permadeath to the effect that someone has computer issues, power outage, etc. If a Jedi dies (maybe three times?), they are summoned to Jedi trials to deem their worthiness as a Jedi. If they pass the challenges set forth at the trials, they get to retain their Jedi status and continue doing whatever it is that Jedi do. If they fail, they lose their Jedi priveleges. They would then be able to select professions allotted within the skill point cap only reflecting the professions that they had mastered during holo-grinding and continue as a regular citizen. Another player would then be able to pick up his spot as a Jedi. This would keep the Jedi population in check as well as keep only the worthy Jedi. It would also encourage Jedi to be more careful/tentative/cloak in order to retain their Jedi status.
What do you guys think?

I think they should just have itso if they use their saber they become attackable by anyone. This would keep the Jedi numbers down, and make the proffession what it should be....rare. Granted there are a lot of high level Jedi that have now slipped through, but if they changed this now at least we could stop the numbers from increasing.
It's really simple, if a person wants to hunt Jedi they can spend the skill points and get Investigation 3, or find a BH that will take them with him on Jedi hunts.
Or if you really want the saber TEF make it like a regular TEF and you have to be overt to attack the Jedi. Of course that makes you vulnerable to attack by FRS Jedi, but that would be fair.
