Thread: The effects of the new BH loot
If the devs are gonna try prevent us from hunting jedi they have to give us something to make this profession worth while...lol however its funny how alot of the loot is for jedi use...ever get the feelingyour are being nerfed?

1. The drop rate.
What makes things so valuable? Rarity. Increased drop rates will make SEA's decrease in value. There goes your money making scheme, poser BH's.
2. The jedi effects
Most jedi have a BH alt. That being said, they will farm and farm and farm until they get the SEA's they need. You won't sell anything to a Jedi, I promise.
Also, since a lot of BH's are refusing to hunt Jedi (to bore them out of existance I guess), their numbers will rise. This will unlock new BH alts to flood the market with new SEA's!!
3. The 'edge'
No one will have an edge any more. Your Jedi's+25 ranged defense will counteract your +25 ranged accuracy. Their +25 2 handed saber speed will kill you faster than you can imagine. Does anyone else see a problem with this?
I don't suppose that any of this will matter to the masses. I've only been playing for about 3 months, but I consider myself to be a pretty intelligent person, and I don't concern myself with the here and now, but the big picture.
Stop being blinded by the loot and thing about the effects it will have.

TBH i don't think it will make that much of a difference.
The stats on the BH armour schematics don't look that hot compared to waht a good armoursmith can make, just average assault stats.
No BH worth his money is gonna wear the stuff while he's out hunting, just like we don't wear our MBH tags, kinda ruins the element of suprise.
not every elite mark is gonna drop stuff, probably have the same drop rate as nightsisters i think. i spent all afternoon on dath hitting the NS stronghold and got 4 smuggler drops, 2 colour crytsal and a white LS crystal plus assorted crap. i musta killed about 50, and the new missions are gonna be a lot longer than waiting for hgh level nightsisters to spawn.
most ppl here are BHs for the thrill of the chase and most of us apart from the elite PvP'ers probably don't make a huge amount of money from it considering our success rate vs Jedi and the amount we spend on kit and stims/food
IMO teh elite mark drops will be a nice little side line for money making and will hopefully drop a nice attatchment we can use every now and again

And how does adding pve bonus to the prof prevent you from hunting jedi? Oh wait, it doesn't.

last time i checked when some1 makes something h a r d e r ..k....its because they dont want you to do it as much...comprenday? and this loot is just something to try occupy us instead of hunting and in doing so helping jedi get more skill tapes...great thinking. However it might be fun ill give it a go i aint gonna be hunting jedi for awhile anyway thats for sure...

About the market thing. Well if you were around before the CU you would know this will have little effect on the overal market. Before the CU we had more ability to get loot that just these missions will give us. You could solo Nyax for really nice SEAs on a 20 minute spawn. You could solo the acklay, fire spider, gorax, krayts, NS elders ect ect and get massive ammounts of loot. If you think there are alot of BHs now, that number is nothing compared to the ammount of Swordsmen/docs and defensive stackers and riflemen pre CU that were nothing more than loot hookers. This will return us closer to pre cu looting, but it won't ruin the game.

The cool loot and schemtatics are gonna drop from the boss level marks. The boss marks AREN'T gonna pop up every time you take an npc mission. The fine print states that the MBH will have a CHANCEof a boss level mark spawning.

Ah so by adding a pve mob it makes hunting jedi harder how? And don't give me that mbh nerf lol. With all the reductions in sp bh have gotten that was a fix long in the coming.
ANd who said jedi would get the skill tapes, last i check skillt apes were for everyone. If u don'tw ant to sell em to jedi DON'T.

Not every bh exists to hunt jedi, and no i'm not talking about jedi alts.
Its harder. You can't pick your targets, and if you don't get a good break and kill em quick while they're distracted you won't kill em at all, since they're full temps. And unless they're in a crowded area they'll see you coming so there is no surprise, so its kinda pointless.
The majority of skill tapes dropped have been related to jedi skills, from the posts I've read.

If would be nice if the jedi hunting process was fun for everyone. Unfortunately the whole thing is a little too unrealistic, what with radar and such and its just too much of a bother at this point for a lot of people. Jedi hunting is, however, the ultimate experience for the bounty hunter, in that there is no greater target.
